A Message from the Principal |
As we welcome the month of April, we are excited to see signs of spring all around us! The warmer weather, blooming flowers, and longer days provide wonderful opportunities for our primary students to learn and explore outside the classroom. April is a perfect time to refresh our routines, re-energize our learning, and enjoy the beauty of the season together. Outdoor play continues to be an important part of each day, helping students build social skills, stay active, and develop creativity through imaginative play.
We also encourage families to enjoy outdoor time together at home. Simple activities like going for a walk, visiting a local park, or looking for signs of spring can spark curiosity and meaningful conversations. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students grow, learn, and thrive. We look forward to a joyful and engaging month ahead!

East Morgan County Library |
Shout out to the East Morgan County Library and the library staff as one of our community partners. Each month, our Thomson students visit the library for an activity and book check out. If your student does not have a public library card, please stop by and find out how to get them one. Check out all of the fun programs they have for the kids and the amazing books as well.📚

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
As we move into April, maintaining strong school attendance is more important than ever. This time of year is filled with meaningful learning as students build on the skills they have been developing all year and prepare for the transition to the next grade level. Each day in the classroom provides valuable opportunities for growth, practice, and connection that are difficult to replicate when missed. Consistent attendance helps students stay confident, engaged, and on track with their learning. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring your child arrives at school on time and ready to learn each day, helping them finish the year strong.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent–teacher conferences are complete and we had 91% attend.
Remember, you can meet with your child's teacher any time. You don't have to wait for conferences. If you have questions, teachers would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss them.
When parents and teachers work together, a child’s potential becomes limitless.

WE HAVE LOTS OF ITEMS IN THE LOST AND FOUND!!
Please make sure to label coats, hats, and gloves so we can return them to the correct owners when they are forgotten around the school.
We know items are expensive to replace and parents are welcome to come in any time and look for lost items in our lost and found.
Items that are not claimed will be donated to local charities at the end of the school year.
