A Message from the Principal

At Thomson Primary we believe that strong communication between home and school is essential for your child’s success. When families and educators work together, students benefit from consistent support, improved academic outcomes, and a stronger sense of well-being.

Your insights, questions, and feedback help us better understand and support your child’s individual needs. Likewise, we are committed to keeping you informed about your child's progress, classroom activities, and any important updates.

We encourage you to stay connected through regular check-ins, parent-teacher conferences, school apps, and email. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have concerns or would like to celebrate your child’s achievements with us.

Thank you for being a vital part of our school community. Together, we can make a lasting impact on your child’s educational journey.

Attendance Matters

Hi TPS Families,

Every day at school is a day to learn, grow, and shine! When students come to school on time each day, they are building strong habits that help them succeed.

🕒 Quick Tips for Parents

  • Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.

  • Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.

  • Schedule doctor’s appointments after school when possible.

💡 Remember: Each day counts, and every absence adds up. Let’s work together to help our students be their best!

Fall Conferences

Our Fall conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 23.

It is important to meet with your child's teacher so they can share the progress being made. This is just one of the ways that you can check in on your child's academic, behavioral, and social growth.

Please look for information from your child's teacher about scheduling a date and time to meet.

Helicopter Visit

On October 6 the National Guard will be landing a helicopter on Thomson's front lawn!

They will share their "Say No To Drugs" message.

The students will get the opportunity to talk with the guardsmen and see the inside of the helicopter up close.

Pumpkin Patch Trips

One activity that students always look forward to at Thomson Primary is the yearly Pope's Pumpkin Patch trip. We are asking that each child bring in $8 to cover the cost of the trip. Each child will bring home a pumpkin of their choice.

Lost and Found

As the weather gets cooler, please make sure to send your child with clothing that is appropriate for the weather.

Please make sure to label coats, hats, and gloves so we can return them to the correct owners when they are forgotten around the school.

We know items are expensive to replace and parents are welcome to come in any time and look for lost items in the lost and found.
